On March 27, 2020, I set out to photograph the sunrise for 100 days. COVID-19 gave us a new norma, and to adapt, I came up with this project to give myself a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Learn more about the project at Winter Park Colorado Photography.
Photographing events in Winter Park, Colorado is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it’s a High Note Thursday or Tequila & Tacos, the Rendezvous Event Center is a beautifully unique venue that makes for eye-catching images.
When capturing people in unique settings, I want them to feel as relaxed and natural as possible. My goal is to capture the pure, unposed moments that tell an authentic story of the scene.
As a mountain local, our closets are filled with more gear than you can imagine. From skiing to camping to snowboarding to paddle boarding, we have it all. Having the opportunity to photograph people doing what they love is always a fun time.
Photography has allowed me to pause and breathe in the beauty of nature. Our lives are filled with so many things to do that we rarely find the time to stop and look around. Taking photos has taught me how to do that…even when I don’t have my camera on hand.
Fall in the mountains is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Before I moved to Colorado, I had never seen such golden leaves in all of my life. If you have the opportunity, plan a trip to see fall in the Rocky Mountains.
